反毛ワタ混リサイクル糸は、明治時代に愛知県三河地方で発祥した技術で、廃棄予定の生地や工場で発生する落ちワタ、はぎれなどを集めてもう一度ワタの状態に戻し糸の原料を作ります。再生する際にエネルギーが過剰にかからず、廃棄物を減らすことができます。また繊維を再利用することで天然資源やエネルギーを節約し繊維の寿命を延ばすことに繋がります。反毛には日本人のものを大切にする「もったいない」という精神が生きています。
The technology of Recycling yarn from wasted fiber was born at Mikawa region of Aichi Prefecture in the Meiji era (1868-1912), collecting waste fiber or cloth, returning to fiber cotton, and become to yarn. The process does not require excessive energy and reduces waste. In addition, reusing fiber means saving natural resources or energy and extends useful life-span of fiber. The recycled yarn derives from Japanese spirit of “MOTTAINAI”.
