ペットボトル再生ポリエステル糸は回収された飲料用ペットボトルを原料に作られており、現在生産されているリサイクル糸の中で最も多く生産され使われています。ペットボトルを再利用するリサイクル方法はマテリアルリサイクルと呼ばれ、ペットボトルを洗浄しながらフレーク状に粉砕し、溶融を経てまたペレットへと生まれ変わります。
